Child Private Orthodontics
WHY PRIVATE TREATMENT?
An attractive smile is a vital asset to personal self-confidence and well-being. Private orthodontic treatment for children increases both patient and parent appliance choice to help achieve the best treatment results.
Newbury Orthodontic Centre offers a comprehensive range of brace options from standard fixed metal braces to the more discrete, ‘state-of-the-art’ appliances such as the Invisalign aligner system and the fully customized Win lingual fixed brace.
Your Specialist Orthodontist can offer a full range of brace options depending on your child’s needs and preferences.
FIRST APPOINTMENT
Your child’s first appointment with the specialist orthodontist is for an initial assessment only and the fee is £75*.
- Children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by their parent/guardian or carer with parental responsibility.
- At the appointment, you will be asked to fill in a medical questionnaire. It may also be necessary to take some radiographs (x-rays) to complete the assessment. Please remove all earrings, hair clips or other metallic objects worn on the head and neck areas beforehand to facilitate this procedure.
- After a thorough examination, it should be possible for the orthodontist to advise you if you would benefit from having treatment, if you are ready for treatment and if so, an outline about possible treatment options. However, a detailed treatment plan will not be available until the full clinical records are taken and assessed.
* 50% payable at time of booking. Remaining balance payable on the day by credit or debit card.
TREATMENT PLAN AND COSTS
The cost of treatment itself depends on the complexity of the treatment and the appliances required. For all private treatments, you will be provided with a written treatment proposal and quotation after the detailed records are taken and assessed.
A monthly standing order payment option is available (0% interest) – feel free to ask us for more information about this.
You are free to decide if you would like to proceed with the treatment proposed. If you need further information, please feel free to ask any member of our team.
